What help do we give you?

Undertaking a foreign property purchase and/or restoration can be a daunting prospect, so it is good to know that the team you work with has the required professional qualifications and local knowledge to give you the confidence to proceed.

In Le Marche we work with a committed team of professionals, who have a wealth of expertise between them: our own dedicated agents who do the viewings, plus architects, surveyors, geologists, notaries, mortgage researchers, foreign exchange experts, accountants and lawyers, to name just a few. We will work with you, and provide the required level of support every step of the way. Our primary concerns are to make your purchase and any subsequent restoration as straightforward and problem-free as possible.

Since its inception, Magic Marche has built also up an extensive network of artisans; building firms, plumbers, electricians, swimming pool builders, project managers for restoration or building projects (large and small), and landscapers. We will share these contacts with our clients. You are never left to flounder, either before or after your purchase.

We also facilitate the opening of bank accounts and other requirements for those purchasing homes in Italy.

Restoration Works

Whether you buy through us, or through another agency, we can assist with your restoration project. It is often very difficult to keep abreast of the works when you have a busy working life in another country. We can help you here. You can decide how much involvement you want us to have: maybe just introductions to trusted builders and artisans, or 'Eyes and Ears' management of your project (regular visits, photos and reports on the progress), or full-on Project Management. Richard Smith: Managing Director

Richard is a qualified Chartered Surveyor, has a Diploma in Estate Management and is a Professional Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (F.R.I.C.S.). He has over 30 years experience in both residential and commercial property in the UK. His love of the Marche region inspired him to start www.magicmarche.com with his wife Jane and they have been running Magic Marche since 2003.

Richard works closely with our Italian team, seeking out new properties and assessing those requiring restoration. He particularly helps ensure the selling prices are pitched at correct levels to reflect current market conditions, and the amount of work required on a house. Jane Smith: Marketing and Client Services Director

After graduating with a degree in Sociology and Business Studies, Jane began her career as a buyer for a number of well-known UK retailers, including Marks and Spencer and Selfridges. She later launched a design-lead mail order catalogue and a speciality food catalogue. In these roles she travelled the world extensively and developed a keen sense for spotting good design and negotiating fair prices. Jane helps our clients to seek out properties which match their ideal brief and monitors, manages and guides with all aspects of the purchase process.

Our staff are all bilingual Italian / English. Our clients come from countries as diverse as the UK, The Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, The USA, New Zealand, South Africa, Canada, Russia.
