The Team

Undertaking a foreign property purchase and/or restoration can be a daunting prospect, so it is good to know that the team you work with has the required professional qualifications and local knowledge to give you the confidence to proceed.

We have an English office, based near Hampton Court Palace in southwest London, where we are very happy to meet with clients for that initial exploratory chat, before you even commmit to searching for properties. Equally, we are always available to communicate with you via telephone, fax or email.

In Le Marche we work with a committed team of professionals, who have a wealth of expertise between them: our own dedicated agents who do the viewings, architects, surveyors, geologists, notaries, mortgage researchers, foreign exchange experts, accountants and lawyers, to name just a few. We will work with you, and provide the required level of support every step of the way. Our primary concerns are to make your purchase and any subsequent restoration as straightforward and problem-free as possible.

Since its inception, Magic Marche has built also up an extensive network of artisans; from building firms, plumbers, electricians, swimming pool builders, project managers for restoration projects, and landscapers. We will share these contacts with our clients. You are never left to flounder, either before or after your purchase.

We also facilitate the opening of bank accounts and other requirements for those purchasing homes in Italy.

Richard Smith

Richard has a Diploma in Estate Management and is a Professional Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors( F.R.I.C.S.). He has over 25 years experience in both residential and commercial property in the UK, and his love of the Marche region inspired him to start www.magicmarche.com with his wife Jane.

Richard works closely with our Italian team, seeking out properties and assessing those requiring restoration. He particularly helps ensure the selling prices are pitched at correct levels to reflect the amount of renovation required.

Jane Smith

After graduating with a degree in Sociology and Business Studies, Jane began her career as a buyer for a number of reknowned UK retailers, including Marks and Spencer and Selfridges. She later launched a design-lead mail order catalogue and a speciality food catalogue. In these roles she travelled the world extensively and developed a keen sense for spotting good design and negotiating fair prices. She transported this into her own homes, which have featured in Ideal Home and Inspirations magazines. Jane helps our clients to seek out properties which match their ideal brief and monitors, manages and guides with all aspects of the purchase process.

Bilingual Staff

All our staff are bilingual Italian / English and between them, our 5 agents speak Flemish, Spanish, French and Russian. Three of them are photographed below. Our client base comes from countries as diverse as the UK, USA, New Zealand, The Netherlands, South America, Germany, Switzerland, Russia.
